General Plan of Bishkek
“There are many rumors about the sale and resale of land. We are only at the stage of discussing the general plan project and refining it. If some plots have ended up in the green zone, and their owners are worried about possible demolition, this will not happen. We will make the necessary changes to the General Plan, as the right to property for citizens remains a priority,” said the mayor.
Particular attention in the General Plan is given to ecological issues, preserving the wind rose, and creating green zones. In particular, it is planned to make the Karagach Grove a specially protected area. The Alamidin and Ala-Archa rivers will be transformed into “green ecological corridors,” along which 15-meter water protection zones are provided.

Irina Grishechkina, Deputy Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Prospective Urban Development (Russia), pointed out the transportation problems of the capital. According to her, Bishkek has 300 cars for every thousand people, which is an excessive figure.
“Many major cities around the world are currently facing the problem of excessive motorization. The reconstruction of major streets does not solve the traffic jam problem. Therefore, it is necessary to develop public transport and make it convenient,” she noted.
To address the aforementioned problems, the General Plan-2050 implies a set of measures:
In January, the second phase of reforming the Tax Service will begin. One of the main components will be the implementation of a new electronic accounting module KEZET, which will effectively replace tax inspectors with artificial intelligence. According to the head of the State Tax Service, Almambet Shykmamatov, the human factor will be completely excluded. “With the help of KEZET, it will be possible to track the movement of each product — from production or import to the moment of its sale. This will also help automatically identify discrepancies in reporting, reduce the number of inspections, and completely eliminate corruption risks,” he added.
If the system is successfully implemented, it is expected that by 2026 the number of employees in the Tax Service will be reduced by about 1,000 people.
The head of the Kav&Kev company was detained in Bishkek. The State National Security Committee reported serious violations in the field of food safety. The investigation established that the head of the company involved foreigners in work without the necessary permits, medical, and migration documents. Workers produced food in unsanitary conditions, and there were also cases of falsification of dates on labels. A criminal case has been initiated under three articles: organization of illegal migration, forgery of documents, and creating a threat to consumers.
