During the discussion on regulating milk prices, it was noted that a commission consisting of producers and representatives of government bodies determines the price taking into account the fat content of the milk. At the same time, milk prices can vary in different regions, ranging from 28 to 42 soms.
“The price of milk has dropped sharply. Many families are forced to sell even the remaining milk to buy food and pay for kindergartens. We ask that the factories set unified prices at the level of 40-45 soms, without dividing them into summer and winter,” Aigul Nurumbetova reported.
She also added that in the event of further price reductions for milk, citizens intend to appeal to the president and the head of the State Committee for National Security.
Baktybek Tuuganbaev, head of Talas Daamy LLC, raised another issue in the dairy industry. According to him, in the Talas region, one cow produces an average of 8 liters of milk per day, while in Russia this figure is 15 liters, and in Belarus, it is 20 liters.
“It is necessary to increase productivity. The Ministry of Agriculture should pay attention to ways to improve the situation. It is important to update the breeds of cows and import more productive types,” Tuuganbaev stated.
