In accordance with the mayor's directive and with the aim of protecting municipal property, reducing financial risks, and complying with the requirements of the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, all social institutions in the capital have been insured with the State Insurance Organization. Among them is "Үмүт үйү" — a social stationary institution for the elderly and disabled.

In 2025, there are 65,989 residential premises and 49,308 vehicles insured in Bishkek, including 2,337 units of municipal transport. Additionally, 587 municipal property objects are fully insured.
We remind you that on January 6, a fire broke out in the palliative care unit of the standalone building "Үмүт үйү," resulting in the deaths of two people. Since April 2023, this institution has been under the jurisdiction of the Department of Social Development of the Bishkek mayor's office and provides social services to elderly individuals and persons with disabilities over 18 years old who need support.
