The process is coordinated by the head of the Tyup district department of internal affairs, Police Colonel Tilek Kanatbekov.
During the action, some residents of the district decided to surrender registered firearms. So far, a total of 26 units of weapons and 1 gas-traumatic pistol have been handed over.
The main task of the action is to inform citizens about the legislative norms regarding the legal handling of firearms, as well as to prevent the storage of illegal weapons and ammunition.
Representatives of the district police noted that similar events aimed at increasing the level of security in the area will continue in the future.
