According to Japarov, the relevant instruction was given to the government back last year.
“In February of last year, I initiated an important initiative. I gathered the prime minister and ministers, giving instructions for the construction of student dormitories in each region, so that from September 1, 2026, we could start the rotation of students studying on budget quotas,” he noted.
In the country, a total of 10,000 budget places have been allocated for future students: 5,000 of them are intended for southern students, and 5,000 for northern applicants.
“Students from the north will study in the south, and southern students will study in the north. That is why I am working on the construction of dormitories in seven regions of the country,” the president added. However, this year the implementation of this plan did not take place, and the rotation has been postponed to September of next year,” Japarov concluded.
