The difficult living conditions of the artists of the National Drama Theater named after Abdymomunov
At a parliamentary meeting, deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova reported that some artists of the National Drama Theater named after Abdymomunov have been living for many years in conditions far from ideal, in storage facilities where theatrical equipment is kept.
The deputy noted that she was able to personally familiarize herself with the living conditions of these artists, and they are indeed difficult. Moreover, many of them are raising small children.
"If we analyze the roles they play on stage, it becomes clear how significant their contribution to the development of theatrical art is," emphasized Mahabat Mavlyanova.
She also added that many actors face the necessity of renting housing and often changing their place of residence. Despite the fact that most of them have 20 or more years of work experience, their salary does not exceed 22,000 soms.
In Mavlyanova's opinion, the housing problems of theater workers should be addressed at the level of state management. There are about 21 theaters operating in Kyrgyzstan.
