Nadyrbekov noted that this field includes many professions, and for Kyrgyzstan, as well as for the artisans themselves, this number is quite low.
He also added that there is no separate institution within the Ministry of Culture responsible for the development of crafts, but the ministry is actively addressing issues in this area.
“We are currently working on creating a regulatory framework; the program is in the development stage, and this process is ongoing. We also regularly send artisans abroad for training,” he specified.
The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Culture reported that in 2025, nine artisans will be sent for a three-month training course in South Korea.
