The Ministry of Emergency Situations celebrated the day of the native language in the format 'Sarmerden'

The event was timed to coincide with the International Mother Language Day, which is celebrated on February 21.



The Ministry of Emergency Situations held a language festival called "Sarmerden," where talented youth performed. This was reported by the ministry's press service.


On the small stage of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, young talents showcased their skills, including knowledge of proverbs, sayings, tongue twisters, riddles, as well as the art of aitysh and the performance of the epic "Manas."


Minister Urmatbek Shamyrkanov also attended the event.


At the end of the celebration, the minister presented gifts to the participants and delivered a congratulatory speech.


"This day was proclaimed by UNESCO in 1999, and since 2000 it has been celebrated to support cultural diversity and multilingualism. The future belongs to educated youth. Mastery of the Kyrgyz language and the study of other languages will help us better understand the culture of different peoples," the minister emphasized.


He also urged everyone not to forget about the culture and oral folk art of the Kyrgyz people.
