The event dedicated to International Migrants Day was held in Bishkek. The organizer of this event was the Employment Center for Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, Bakyt Darmankul uulu, emphasized the importance of safe and legal migration, as well as the role of private employment agencies in this process.
According to him, migrants are not just an economic category, but people whose fates and safety are the responsibility of the state.
He also noted that highly qualified specialists can expect higher salaries and, consequently, larger remittances home. Every year, about 100,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan seek consultations before leaving, among which 17-21% are women, which requires special attention to their rights.
Bakyt Darmankul uulu also noted a positive trend: the number of labor migrants is gradually decreasing due to the increase in job opportunities and the development of the economy in the country.
During the event, the best private employment agencies were recognized for their quality work and contribution to legal labor migration, as well as for the implementation of modern standards and the digitization of services, as reported in the press release.
