In Bishkek and the Chui Region, strong winds tore off roofs and toppled trees

According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, cases of damage to private and multi-apartment houses, as well as fallen trees, have been recorded in Bishkek and the Chui region due to strong gusts of wind.

At 11:55 in the Lenin district of the capital, on Moskovskaya Street, the wind tore the roof off a multi-story building, which landed on a neighboring structure, thus creating a potential threat. The wind also damaged roofs on Bakayev and Intergelpo streets, and trees were uprooted.

In the residential area of "Kok-Zhar," the roof of a private house was blown off by the wind, and one of the fallen trees ended up on power supply lines. Elements of the exterior finishing of the multi-story building also fell onto two cars.

Similar destruction is observed in the Chui region. In the village of Zhar-Bashy in the Issyk-Ata district, as well as in the villages of Malovodnoe and Belovodskoe, the wind damaged roofs and uprooted trees. In the Panfilov district, in the rural area of Kurpuldok, the wind tore the roof off a secondary school.

Rescue workers have been dispatched to the scenes to address the aftermath of these incidents. In particular, five Ministry of Emergency Situations employees are working on Moskovskaya Street in Bishkek, and an operational group has been sent to the Panfilov district to assess the situation at the school.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations also reminded that earlier Kyrgyzhydromet issued a storm warning about strong winds in Bishkek and the Chui region, with gusts reaching 15–20 m/s.
