The project is scheduled to run from March 1, 2026, to February 1, 2027, and aims to provide homeowners with the opportunity to organize parking zones on their land plots.
The explanatory note of the project emphasizes that Bishkek is experiencing a severe shortage of parking spaces. The city has 468 thousand registered vehicles, and taking into account the traffic that enters daily, this number reaches 700 thousand. This situation leads to disorganized parking on roadways and lawns, creating traffic jams and potential threats to road safety.
The city administration has been instructed to develop a procedure for providing parking services, as well as to establish appropriate tariffs. In the event of successful implementation of the pilot project, the city will be ready to amend existing regulations to permanently adopt this practice.
