The city administration has put forward for public discussion a draft decree to launch a pilot program that involves organizing parking on the territories of private residential houses.
According to the initiators, this measure is aimed at addressing the pressing issue of parking space shortages in Bishkek, which leads to chaotic parking of cars on sidewalks, lawns, and roadways.
The pilot project is scheduled to run from March 1, 2026, to February 1, 2027. Homeowners will be granted the right to organize parking on their land plots.
If the pilot project proves successful, city authorities may consider the possibility of implementing this practice on a permanent basis.
