Deputy Gulai Mashrapova raised a serious issue regarding the quality of teaching this subject in educational institutions.
She noted: "The formation of a patriotic spirit among the youth begins in schools. What are the current conditions for taking the course? Who conducts the classes? What is the state of the material and technical base? I am receiving complaints from teachers."
Muluuzmanov explained that a working group has been initiated to jointly develop a new program with the Ministry of Defense. The requirements for teacher qualifications have also been revised, and new standards for classes have been established. According to preliminary calculations, about 533,000 soms will be needed to equip classrooms in Bishkek schools.
Deputy Minister of Education Nadiira Jusuupbekova added that an open discussion about the quality of teaching this subject took place in the presidential administration.
She stated: "Currently, a monitoring of the situation is being carried out. Some schools have teaching materials; however, in most of them, they are completely absent. The presidential administration has given us instructions, and we, together with the Ministry of Defense, have carried out the necessary work and sent the calculations to the Ministry of Finance," she concluded.
