According to him, thanks to the support of the management, two specialized rooms have been allocated where medical staff have begun providing palliative care to children in need of careful symptom management and a dignified quality of life. Stambekov added that assistance was previously provided, but now separate rooms with isolation have been created specifically for this purpose.
With the help of sponsors and the charity fund "We Believe in Miracles," the rooms have been additionally equipped with everything necessary for the comfort of both patients and their parents.
"These are not just rooms - this is a protected space where a child can be pain-free, close to their family," noted the head of the pediatric oncology department.“Palliative care is a crucial component of modern medicine, which includes pain and symptom management, psychological support, and respect for the dignity of each patient. It’s about humanity,” emphasized Stambekov.
