The hearing originally scheduled for February 2 will now take place on March 3.
The proceedings in the case of journalist Mahabat Tajibek kyzy in the Supreme Court have been postponed again due to the judge's illness, as reported by human rights activist Gulshaiyr Abdirasulova on her social media page.
As Gulshaiyr noted, the session that was supposed to take place on February 2 has been rescheduled for March 3.
"Today the trial was postponed again. In the meantime, Mahabat remains behind bars...", she wrote.
It is worth reminding that the Supreme Court is expected to begin reviewing the case in light of the conclusions of the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, which pointed out human rights violations against Mahabat Tajibek kyzy.
