The possibility of providing a 50% discount on contract education is being considered
Recently, the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with labor, health, women's affairs, and social issues, approved a draft resolution that proposes the introduction of a state educational benefit for the children of mothers awarded the "Batyr Ene" order.
According to this document, the children of Hero Mothers who have given birth to and raised seven or more children will be able to receive a 50% discount on the payment for contract education when enrolling in their first higher professional education.
The authors of this project note that the initiative is aimed at ensuring social justice and equal access to education. The explanatory note emphasizes that in large families, the financial burden is shared among a greater number of children, making it difficult to afford education at universities, where costs can range from 29,500 to 288,500 soms, and in some cases reach 7,500 dollars.
As of January 1, 2026, there are more than 31,000 mothers in Kyrgyzstan registered as recipients of the "Batyr Ene" order, who receive an additional payment to their pension.
The initiators of the bill are confident that the introduction of a 50% discount will be an important step in training qualified specialists, will raise the level of education among youth, and will support state policy in the areas of family, motherhood, and demographic development.
