
Kyrgyzstan exports 1.5 million tons of coal annually
In Kyrgyzstan, coal production exceeds 4 million tons, with 1.385 million tons provided by the state enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur." Approximately 2.5 million tons of coal is used in the domestic market, while 1.5 million tons is exported.
During a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with agricultural policy, water resources, subsoil use, and environmental protection, Deputy Mahabat Mavlyanova expressed her position on the need to limit coal exports. She emphasized the importance of preserving resources for future generations.
Mavlyanova called on the government for strategic planning.
