Negotiations with Beijing are ongoing regarding visa-free entry
At a recent meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, First Deputy Foreign Minister Almaz Imangaziev reported that Kyrgyzstan is actively negotiating with China regarding a visa-free regime. However, the republic does not intend to be the first to grant such rights to Chinese citizens.
He clarified that Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia have already established bilateral visa-free agreements with China. Kyrgyzstan is also in the process of discussions, but Beijing demands that Bishkek be the first to introduce a visa-free regime.
Imangaziev emphasized that negotiations are ongoing, and Kyrgyzstan insists on implementing the visa-free regime on a reciprocal basis, simultaneously from both sides.
