In the Republican Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital of Bishkek, the discharge of individuals affected by mass poisoning has begun. This was reported by the chief physician of the institution, Gulzhigit Aaliev, on the website 24.kg.

According to the doctor, another person sought medical help yesterday, bringing the total number of affected individuals to 21.

Currently, seven patients have already been discharged as their condition has improved.
“The condition of one of the critically ill patients who was in intensive care has stabilized, and he has been transferred to a regular ward,” Aaliev noted.

It was previously reported that those who were poisoned had consumed food from the cafeteria "Buffet," located at: 18 Baytik Baatyr Street. Due to identified violations, a protocol was drawn up, a fine of 23,000 soms was imposed, and the cafeteria was issued a directive to suspend operations starting March 11.

According to Gulzhigit Aaliev, the situation in the hospital is currently stable, with more than 300 patients receiving treatment.

“In March and until mid-April, our region usually experiences a transitional period, with a decrease in the incidence of ARVI and influenza. A rise in intestinal infections is expected at the end of April to early May, when the strawberry season begins,” he added.

The RKIB has 500 beds, but during peak illness periods, the number of hospitalized patients can reach 600.
