Gulzhigit Kalymurat uulu is searching for his mother Gulzat and brother Taalay. In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, he shared his story, which began in 1991 in the village of Üch-Terek, located in the Toktogul district of the Jalal-Abad region. He currently lives in Kara-Kul.

According to him, when he was only two months old, his maternal aunt took him to Kara-Kul, promising to raise him as her sixth child due to the breakup of his parents' relationship. Gulzhigit admits that he has always felt lonely. Rumor has it that his mother sold his biological brother to the Dungans.

His childhood was spent in Kara-Kul, where the aunt who raised him was a well-known entrepreneur. Despite having five children of her own, she took Gulzhigit into her family, and they grew up together as three sons and three daughters.

Gulzhigit has a third-degree disability. According to his relatives, doctors dropped him at birth, which led to a fracture in the pelvic area. He does not know if surgery was performed, but now his leg hardly bothers him, although he does limp a little.
The divorce of his parents happened when they were young. Gulzhigit recalled that his mother often drank, and after the divorce, he was taken in by his grandmother and aunt. In the 7th grade, he accidentally met his father in Toktogul, but despite this meeting, he believes that the real parents for him are those who raised him, even if they were sometimes strict.

Gulzhigit has experienced many hardships and humiliations: “I don’t show this to people, but inside me, there is always anxiety and resentment.” At 17, he saw his mother when she came from Bishkek. She had severe consequences from a stroke, and he initially did not recognize her. After the death of his adoptive mother when he was 10, he voluntarily went to an orphanage. He returned home at 12 years old, having endured harsh living conditions in the institution, where he had to fight for food.

From the age of 13, he began working, doing heavy labor. Gulzhigit did not start a family for a long time, believing that he had no support. However, he eventually got married, but the marriage ended due to jealousy. He has a son, and his second marriage also ended in divorce. Gulzhigit realizes that he does not want his children to repeat the fate he experienced.

Despite all the trials, he continues to hope for the best. “I tried to end my life twice, but the rope broke both times. I believe that if a person suffers, something good awaits them ahead,” he says.

His biggest concern is about his brother, who stayed with their father when he was taken to Kara-Kul. When his brother was getting ready for school, their mother came and kidnapped him, leaving for Sokuluk. Gulzhigit learned about the sale of his brother when he asked his mother, and she confessed that she did it because of alcohol.

Despite her problems, Gulzhigit continues to care for her. In the same year that his cousin died, his mother ended up back in Bishkek and had not changed. Gulzhigit dreams of a family and a happy life, and his goal is to find his mother and brother.

He hopes that in the modern digital world, they will be able to find each other. His brother, Taalay, was born in 1987 or 1988, and his mother’s name is Gulzat.
