In addition, the deposit allowance for doctors in the regions has been increased.
At a meeting of the Ishenim and Ala-Too deputy groups, Deputy Minister of Health Tilek Mamadaliev announced that starting April 1, the salaries of medical workers will increase by 100 percent.
He added that a deposit allowance is provided for doctors working in remote areas.
"Previously, until 2024, this allowance was 33,000 soms per quarter, and now it has been increased to 66,000 soms. Thus, every three months, doctors will receive this amount," Mamadaliev clarified.
For specialists who are underrepresented in remote areas, such as neonatologists, pediatricians, and anesthesiologists-resuscitators, an additional monthly payment of 20,000 soms is also provided.
Furthermore, as part of the salary increase for medical workers, funds will also be allocated from the presidential fund in the amount of 15,000 soms monthly for each doctor and nurse.
It is planned that by the end of this year, deposit payments to doctors will increase: if they currently amount to 500 soms, an increase of 2,000 soms is expected.
According to the deputy minister, such measures should help attract medical workers to remote regions and partially solve the problem of staff shortages.
