In Kyrgyzstan, the planting of about 9 million seedlings is planned for 2026 as part of environmental protection activities. Almaz Musaev, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision, announced this at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
According to Musaev, local authorities will be responsible for organizing and carrying out this work. After planting, they will need to ensure watering and care for the seedlings, as well as work on increasing their numbers.
In addition, he noted that in 2025, 8 million 239 thousand seedlings were planted over an area of 6 thousand 21 hectares. These activities were carried out as part of environmental initiatives aimed at increasing green spaces and improving ecology.
