At the checkpoint "Kyzyl-Kiya," located in the Batken region and subordinate to the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan, an inspection was conducted on 82,830 seedlings imported from Uzbekistan. During the phytosanitary control, it was found that the product packaging lacked the necessary labeling.

According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council, adopted on November 30, 2016, under number 157, all quarantine products must contain labeling indicating the name of the product, the country of origin, as well as the exporting or re-exporting country.

The lack of labeling is a violation of the phytosanitary quarantine control standards established within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, which led to the return of this batch of seedlings back to Uzbekistan.
