On February 23, at the phytosanitary control post "Kyzyl-Kiya," located in the Batken region, employees of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry discovered during an inspection that 28,762 seedlings brought from Uzbekistan lacked the necessary labeling on the packaging.

According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council dated November 30, 2016, No. 157, each package of quarantine products must contain information about the name, country of origin, and the exporting or re-exporting state.

The absence of labeling on the quarantine cargo is a violation of the general phytosanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union, which served as the basis for returning this cargo back to the importing country.
