Despite the high cost of services, threats from unscrupulous specialists remain relevant
In Kyrgyzstan, there has been a significant increase in the number of fake psychologists. This was stated by Nurgul Ibraeva, head of the primary health care department of the Ministry of Health, at a recent briefing.
She noted that the changing culture in the country has led to an increase in requests for psychological help. However, alongside this, many people have emerged who call themselves psychologists without having the necessary education, which has led to complaints from citizens.
It is important to note that advertising the services of psychologists without relevant education is prohibited in Kyrgyzstan.
Government institutions provide psychological assistance for free under mandatory health insurance. At the same time, the cost of services from private psychologists ranges from 2,000 to 9,000 soms per session lasting 45-50 minutes.
