At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Elvira Surabaldiyeva raised the issue of a Kyrgyz woman who, according to her, is in Turkey without documents.

She recounted that 12 years ago, a resident of Osh named Saltanat was deceived and taken to Turkey for the purpose of exploitation. After long wanderings through various cities, local residents helped her reach a women's protection center.

“Saltanat has a family, a husband, and children, but she does not have a passport. She needs help to resolve this issue. According to current legislation, to obtain a passport, she must return to her homeland, but how can she do this without documents? I understand that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is fulfilling its duties; however, I urge the cabinet of ministers to take the necessary steps to assist our citizen in this critical situation,” Surabaldiyeva noted.

Furthermore, the deputy added that the woman who deceived Saltanat has still not been detained.
