On March 17, blasting operations were conducted in the Kochkor district on sections from the 37th to the 43rd kilometer. A total of 100 blasts were carried out during the project, starting from the first one in July 2024.
Company representatives reported that all work was carried out in compliance with high safety standards, which helped avoid injuries among people and animals, as well as damage to nearby buildings, including residential houses and cafes.
During the blasting operations, roads on the section from the 37th to the 39th kilometer were temporarily closed.
According to the employees of "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu," the blasting operations were an important step in the construction process, allowing them to successfully cope with challenging geological conditions.
The length of the Balykchy — Kochkor railway is 63.4 kilometers, and a significant portion of the route already has the earthworks completed. Construction work is currently ongoing, including the active construction of the "Kochkor" station.
