The search for the Russian climber on Victory Peak is estimated at $2–3 million

The operation to search for Natalia Nagovitsina, who went missing in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan, will cost between two and three million dollars. This was reported by Alexander Pyatnitsin, Vice President of the Russian Mountaineering Federation, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The incident occurred on August 12, when Nagovitsina sustained a leg injury while descending from Victory Peak, which is about 7,200 meters high. Attempts by other climbers to assist her were unsuccessful due to adverse weather conditions, and one of the rescuers unfortunately died from hypothermia. Currently, Nagovitsina remains at high altitude with a damaged tent, sleeping bag, and limited supplies of food and water. Earlier, the federation stated that it does not plan to resume the search operation.

Pyatnitsin emphasized that "the operation costs two to three million dollars. Perhaps if some relatives decide to take the risk and start the search... But the likelihood of dying during this operation is very high."
