From March 23 to 31, 2026, Turkey will host the VIII International Theater Festival "Samsun," in which the Bishkek City Dramatic Theater named after Arsen Umuraliev will participate. This was reported by the press service of the capital's mayor's office.

This festival, timed to coincide with International Theater Day, will bring together theater groups from different corners of the world, including state, private, and amateur troupes, creating a unique platform for cultural exchange and dialogue.

As part of the festival, the theater will present its season premiere—a tragicomic parable "Takteke," based on the work of the people's poet of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kiyalbek Urmanbetov.

The performance immerses the audience in a philosophical story about a man who has lost his connection with nature and faced internal conflicts.

The production harmoniously combines elements of ancient epic and modernity, filling the content with lively humor and depth. The performance has already received recognition from audiences in Bishkek and will now be presented to a wide international audience at the festival.
