This project, "Strong Youth - Strong Country!", was organized by UNICEF with financial support from the European Union. The Community Media Association acted as the executor, while the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic became a partner in implementing the event.
Participants immersed themselves for three days in educational and practical sessions covering important contemporary topics such as civic participation, gender equality, inclusion, and climate change.
During the Bootcamp, young people acquired skills in the following areas:
media and information literacy, as well as critical thinking development; mobile journalism — creating and editing video content on smartphones for social media; content creation and storytelling in social media.
The event program included interactive quizzes, practical assignments, workshops, and meetings with representatives from international organizations, parliament, and government structures. Schoolchildren had a unique opportunity to ask questions to representatives from UNICEF, the European Union, various ministries, and deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh.
Upon completion of the Bootcamp, participants were awarded certificates and received information about further mentoring support aimed at developing school media centers.
This initiative aims to support active, responsible, and media-literate youth ready to contribute to the development of society and their country.
