The opening ceremony took place at the Chingiz Aitmatov Lyceum, as reported by the Ministry of Education.
Deputy Minister Nadira Jusupbekova emphasized that the Olympic competitions are aimed at identifying the most deserving participants.
“Your efforts and perseverance have brought you here. Each of you is already a winner. I am confident that you will demonstrate excellent achievements. You are the future of our country, the young generation that will contribute to the development of science and education. I wish you all good luck; may the strongest win!” she noted.
This republican stage involves 330 schoolchildren who have taken prize places in regional and city Olympiads.
The Olympiad is taking place at the following educational institutions:
- Chingiz Aitmatov Lyceum — mathematics, physics, history, computer science, geography;
- Aichurok Lyceum — Kyrgyz, Russian, and English languages;
- Kyrgyz State University named after Ischenaly Arabaev — chemistry and biology.
The competitions will last for two days, and the awards ceremony for the winners will take place on March 30.
