The study conducted by E. A. Bayyzbekova focuses on the psycho-emotional state of 401 patients receiving outpatient treatment in four regions of Kyrgyzstan. The results were published in the journal "Healthcare of Kyrgyzstan".

According to the data obtained, 39.4% of patients suffer from depression, while anxiety disorders were identified in 29.4% of the study participants.

Although the duration of treatment did not have a significant impact on the level of anxiety, those who underwent therapy for more than a year showed an increase in cases of depressive states.

Bayyzbekova notes that psycho-emotional disorders can significantly affect adherence to treatment regimens and their outcomes. However, in Kyrgyzstan, attention to these aspects remains insufficient.

As a recommendation, the researcher emphasizes the need for regular screening of anxiety and depressive states within tuberculosis treatment programs and enhancing psychosocial support for patients.

The author concludes that tuberculosis continues to be one of the main healthcare problems in the country, and taking into account the mental state of patients can play a key role in improving treatment effectiveness.
