The Ministry of Natural Resources has officially commented on the situation related to discussions on social media about the logging of trees in the village of Bulan-Sogottu, located in the Issyk-Kul region. The department assures that mass destruction of trees is not planned.

According to the ministry, a modern park will be created in this area.

“The project provides for selective logging of only those trees that interfere with the construction of alleys or create obstacles for residents' passage and the movement of vehicles. Ecologists and representatives of local authorities have already conducted a thorough inspection of each tree. Most of the trees will remain untouched and will form the basis for the new park,” the official statement says.

Residents have already been presented with a project that illustrates how the area will change.

“We are fully controlling the situation, and all actions are being carried out in accordance with the legislation. The implementation of the project is aimed at maximizing the preservation of green spaces. As a result, a modern park area will appear in this territory — a safe and attractive place for family recreation,” the ministry added.
