Kyrgyzstan ratified the agreement with Belarus on readmission

This document is intended to enhance cooperation in the fight against illegal migration.

President Sadyr Japarov signed a law ratifying the agreement concluded with the government of Belarus on readmission on September 29, 2025, in Minsk.

This law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 5, 2026, and includes all necessary internal procedures for the agreement to come into force.

The purpose of the document is to simplify the process of returning citizens who are illegally present in the territory of the parties, as well as to ensure the transit of persons subject to deportation in accordance with international norms.

Additionally, the agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the competent authorities of both countries and organize joint activities to combat illegal migration.

The law will come into effect ten days after its official publication.
