At a recent meeting of the parliamentary committee, Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Jusupbekova reported that the General Prosecutor's Office has returned 25 buildings to the Ministry of Education, which were previously used as kindergartens.

In addition to these returned facilities, the ministry also has other buildings that were obtained as a result of various reforms.

As a result, there are currently about 40 potential premises suitable for the establishment of kindergartens.

Out of this number, nine buildings will be selected for renovation and equipping as part of the "Education for the Future" project. The selection process is carried out based on two key criteria: first, the population density and the need for kindergartens in a specific area are considered. Second, the buildings undergo engineering expertise, during which specialists assess the condition of the load-bearing structures, and if they meet the requirements, a permit is issued for renovation work.

To ensure full coverage of preschool education for children in Kyrgyzstan, it is necessary to build 557 new kindergartens. Currently, only 51 percent of children aged 3 to 5 years are covered by preschool education.
