The star of the "Los Angeles Lakers," Luka Dončić, will return to the court in the upcoming game against the "Houston Rockets," scheduled for Thursday, December 25. According to ESPN, the athlete has fully recovered from a calf injury.

The injury was sustained in a game against the "Los Angeles Clippers" that took place last Saturday, after which Dončić was forced to leave the game. This led to his absence in the regular season match against the "Phoenix Suns," in which the "Lakers" suffered a defeat with a score of 108:132. These losses marked the team's first consecutive defeats of the season.

This match holds special significance, as exactly one year ago Dončić played his last game for the "Dallas Mavericks." In that game, he also suffered a calf injury in a matchup against "Minnesota," after which he did not return to the court for his former team. In February, he was traded to the "Lakers."

Since joining Los Angeles, Dončić has become one of the key figures on the team. He helped the "Lakers" reach the playoffs last season and is showing outstanding results in the current championship, especially in the absence of LeBron James. He currently leads the NBA in average points, scoring 34.1 per game, and also averages 8.8 assists and 8.6 rebounds.

In eight seasons in the NBA, Dončić, a five-time All-Star and the league's Rookie of the Year in 2019, averages 28.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game. He has played 471 games (all as a starter) for the "Dallas Mavericks" and the "Lakers."
