The National Basketball Association has gained a new record-breaking star: LeBron James, forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, has completed his 23rd season in his career, making him the holder of the record for the most seasons in the league. With this achievement, he surpassed Vince Carter, who retired after 22 years of playing.

This significant event took place on November 19 during a home game against the Utah Jazz. The game ended with a victory for the Lakers, with a score of 140-126. This was LeBron's first game of the new season, as he missed the start due to health issues. In the game, he showcased excellent form, scoring 11 points and making 12 assists, which allowed him to achieve a double-double.

LeBron James continues to be the oldest active player in the NBA. He made his league debut on October 29, 2003. Throughout his career, he has won four NBA championship titles, been a four-time MVP for both the regular season and the finals, won Olympic gold medals twice, and received numerous individual awards. In 2022, he became the first active basketball player to reach billionaire status.
