Tashiev met with the owners of football clubs in Kyrgyzstan

The President of the Kyrgyz Football Union, Kamchybek Tashiev, held a meeting with the heads of the teams participating in the Kyrgyz Premier League.

Representatives from the KFU, KPFPL, and leaders of clubs such as "Dordoi" (Bishkek), "Alga" (Bishkek), "Ilbirs" (Bishkek), "Bishkek City" (Bishkek), "Asiagol" (Bishkek), "Kyrgyzaltyn" (Kara-Balta), "Abdysh-Ata" (Kant), "Talant" (Besh-Kungoy), "Neftchi" (Kochkor-Ata), "Muras United" (Manas), "Özgön" (Özgön), "Alai" (Osh), "OshMU" (Osh), "Bars" (Karakol), "Toktogul" (Toktogul), and "Asia" (Talas) were present at the meeting.

According to information from the union, the number of teams in the Kyrgyz Premier League will increase next season. In 2025, 14 clubs will participate in the country's main championship. After the team "Toktogul" secured a spot in the Premier League, the club "Asia" from Talas joined as well. The initiative to create a Talas team was supported by Omurbek Babakov, which raises the total number of participants to 16.

During the meeting, reports from the Kyrgyz Professional Football League for the 2025 season and information on the development of football infrastructure from the Kyrgyz Football Union were presented. The KPFPL also shared plans for the 2026 sports season.

Additionally, it was announced at the meeting that the championships would be renamed: the "Premier League" will now be called the "Top League," and the "National League" will become the "First League." From the new season, the winner of the First League will receive a direct ticket to the Top League, while the team finishing in 16th place will move down to the First League. These changes were communicated to all participants of the meeting.
