Jannik Sinner, representing Italy, concluded his tennis season with an impressive victory. In the final match of the ATP Finals held in Turin, he defeated Spanish opponent Carlos Alcaraz in two sets with a score of 7:6(4), 7:5, thus defending his title.
Throughout the match, Sinner displayed excellent play, which was made possible by the support of local fans. This victory also highlighted his dominance on hard courts, where he extended his winning streak to 31 matches. By the end of the season, he had six titles and an impressive record of 58 wins against 6 losses.
The first set was a real battle: both players maintained a high pace and made almost no errors. Alcaraz had the opportunity to close out the set in his favor, but Sinner's powerful second serve allowed him to save the game and win the tiebreak. In the second set, the Spaniard, who was experiencing issues with the back of his thigh, managed to make an early break, but the Italian quickly regained control of the match and brought it to a victorious conclusion.
Sinner became the youngest tennis player in the last 21 years to defend the title at the ATP Finals, as well as one of the few to win this tournament twice in a row without losing a set.
This victory in Turin allowed Sinner to take revenge on Alcaraz, who had previously beaten him seven times earlier this season, and to finish the year on a positive note.
