Akzhol Makhmudov suffered his first defeat in the Poddubny league

On November 8, the tenth PWL tournament took place in Moscow, where Makhmudov competed in the weight category up to 82 kg. In a tense match, he lost to Bulgarian wrestler Aik Mnatsakanyan with a narrow score of 2:3. This defeat marked a significant event in his career, as he had previously consistently demonstrated excellent results in this league.

Also on that day, another wrestler from Kyrgyzstan, freestyle wrestler Abdumalik Karachov, competed in the category up to 57 kg. Unfortunately, he also could not secure a victory, losing to Russian wrestler Abubakar Mutaliev with a score of 5:10.

The PWL, which gathers the best wrestlers in the world, represents an important international arena for assessing the level of athletes and preparing for world-class championships. Although the defeats of Makhmudov and Karachov were notable events for the Kyrgyz team, experts emphasize that their performances continue to strengthen the country's position on the sports arena.
