Asia Cup: The Kyrgyzstan National Team Lost to Indonesia

The Kyrgyzstan futsal team suffered a defeat against the Indonesia team in the 2026 Asian Cup.

This match of the second round of the group stage took place on January 29 in Jakarta.

The Kyrgyz opened the scoring early in the match: in the 6th minute, the team captain made a magnificent shot, and the ball, bouncing off the goalkeeper's hands, rolled into the net — 1:0.

However, just a minute later, the Indonesians responded by taking advantage of a set piece and equalized the score — 1:1.

In the 12th minute, the refereeing team from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, after analyzing VAR, awarded a penalty against the Kyrgyz for a handball by Doner Amanbaev. The opponent successfully converted the penalty, putting their team ahead — 2:1.

In the second half, the Kyrgyz initially conceded another goal, but then managed to score twice and equalize the score. Shohrukh Mahmadaminov scored a brace, and Maksat Alimov successfully converted a penalty — 3:3.

Nevertheless, the tournament hosts took the lead again, scoring two consecutive goals and securing the victory.

The final result of the match was 5:3 in favor of Indonesia.

The Kyrgyzstan team suffered its second consecutive defeat, which led to its elimination from the Asian Cup. The match against Korea, scheduled for January 21, will not have any significance for the tournament.
