
The AFC Futsal Cup 2026 has entered its decisive phase, and following the quarter-final matches, four teams have been determined to compete for the main prize.
Iran confirmed its status as the favorite by eliminating Uzbekistan.
In the Central Asian derby, the continent's strongest team, Iran, defeated Uzbekistan with a score of 7:4.
The game was intense: the Uzbeks started with an advantage, but by the end of the match, they were trailing by just one point — 4:5. A key moment was the red card issued to goalkeeper Elmurodov, after which Azimiematabadi successfully converted a penalty and extended the lead. The final touch in the match was made by Hossein Sabzi.
Thus, Uzbekistan became the last team from Central Asia to leave the competition, while Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan failed to advance from the group stage.

Iraq - Thailand 4:2
The Iraqis confidently maintained their advantage and reached the semi-finals for the first time in a long time.
Japan - Afghanistan 6:0
One of the main contenders for victory easily defeated the debutant at the knockout stage.
Indonesia - Vietnam 3:2
The tournament hosts made a historic step by reaching the semi-finals for the first time in 11 participations in the AFC Cup.
