One of the participants in the sixth season of the popular show "Ukraine's Got Talent," which airs every Saturday at 19:00 on the STB channel, is Azamat Barakov, the winner of a similar project in Kyrgyzstan. How will this Kyrgyz gem surprise Ukrainian television viewers? "AIF" found out.
"I have been involved in sports my whole life, but one day I tried something more extreme," says Azamat Barakov, a participant in "Ukraine's Got Talent-6." "It worked out, so I decided to keep doing complex tricks."
The 24-year-old has been amazing the residents of his native Kyrgyzstan for four years now. At first glance, you wouldn't say that this seemingly slender man (weighing only 62 kg at a height of 1.78 m) possesses extraordinary strength. But once he steps onto the stage, Azamat transforms. He easily tears frying pans and iron buckets to shreds with his teeth, drags a "KAMAZ" truck, holds a car in his jaws, bends three frying pans over a board, and drives nails into them with his bare hands, then pulls them out with his teeth.
"Some of the tricks Azamat performs cannot be repeated by anyone in the world," says Vyacheslav Kudинов, Azamat's manager. "But to document his uniqueness and invite representatives from the Book of Records, we need money, and Azamat doesn't have any. That's why we decided to showcase our skills on a television show in Kyrgyzstan."
After winning the Kyrgyz project, Azamat decided to try participating in the German version of the show. "Much of what I did scared the Germans, and they simply didn't believe it was possible," recalls A. Barakov. "When I broke a shovel on my head, they closed their eyes and turned away, and then even decided to check if it was a real tool or a lightweight model."
Despite the fact that the Kyrgyz strongman made it to the second round in Germany, he didn't go to perform because he didn't have the funds for it.
"Ukraine is the only country where participants from abroad have their flights and all other necessary expenses covered for participation in the project. That's why after the show in Germany, I decided to showcase my skills in Ukraine," says Azamat.
According to him, Ukrainians, unlike Germans, welcomed him with admiration: "The audience in Ukraine is fearless. People hold their breath while watching my tricks, and then the hall erupts with loud applause."
Remembering the disbelief with which the Germans received his tricks, in Ukraine, Azamat suggested that the jury test the shovel for strength. Moreover, one of the jury members, Vyacheslav Uzelkov, a boxer and international champion according to IBO, broke it over the strongman's head.
Despite the boxer's strength, Uzelkov managed to break the shovel over the participant's head only on the fourth attempt.
Azamat's wife is not against his performances, although she worries a lot about him. But, as an Eastern woman, she feels compelled to hide her fears.
The most challenging trick Azamat demonstrates is holding moving cars with his bare hands. But, as he secretly told "AIF," he has much more grandiose performances planned. "I want to try lifting two cars at the same time. I'm confident that, despite the complexity of the trick, I will succeed," A. Barakov is certain.
