In Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region, there is a historic building that has turned 120 years old. This structure, known as the house of notary I.P. Pyankov, is currently used by a preschool educational institution.

The head of the kindergarten, Altynkul Tyumenbaeva, noted that this academic year, 260 children will be accepted into the institution. As part of the grant, work is planned for the repair of the gates, fence, and playground, as well as the construction of a coal storage facility.

According to information provided by the Karakol city administration, the building was listed as a historical site in 2018. The house is located at the corner of Koenkozov and Jamansariyev streets (formerly Dzerzhinsky) and was built in 1905 from adobe bricks. Over the years, it has housed various institutions: from 1921, it served as a dormitory, then from 1923, it was the Karakol district agricultural department, and in 1925, it became the district committee. Later, this building housed a maternity hospital, and since 1964, it has been a kindergarten.

The building is one-story, includes 24 rooms, and its roof and windows are made of special wood, designed in an architectural style characteristic of that time. Altynkul Tyumenbaeva notes that this building is located in the city center and attracts the attention of tourists who are interested in its history. However, unfortunately, there are no documents confirming the historical facts about the building. Information about it has been passed down orally, and now there are goals to explore archival materials stored in Kazakhstan and Russia.
