The cave is situated at an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level.
According to the elders, this cave, located in the Jomok (Fairy Tale) canyon of the Ton district, may have once been a lake.
They shared a myth associated with this place:
“At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, a soldier deserted and hid in this cave. He stayed here for four years, committing robberies and murders, and concealed the bodies of his victims in the forest. In 1944, he was killed by the military for numerous crimes. Thus, the cave received the name ‘Mykaachyyn unkurü’ (Cave of the Torturer).”
Travelers, especially solitary ones, often claim to hear mournful voices coming from the depths of the cave.
Meanwhile, foreigners visiting the canyon actively take photos in the surroundings, including the cave itself, admiring the splendor of the local natural landscapes.
