Chakan Atmai (Chakan Tash)
Chakan atmay (chakan tash) — a game for schoolchildren of younger and middle ages. It is played by up to 10 people or two teams of 5-6 players each.
A flat and free area of about 20-30 by 10-15 meters is chosen.
Each player must have one flat and smooth stone the size of a matchbox, which is used as a bat, and another stone (a bit larger) as the target (babka).
The game starts with the team whose player hits the target placed at the 20-meter mark with the bat. Then, in turn, the participants of the teams throw their bats. If a player hits the common bat, which is placed on its end, they score 5 points. The bats of both successful and unsuccessful players remain in place after the throw.
All players who missed their throw from a distance then take turns hitting the target without lifting their bats from the ground, using a spring-like motion of the middle finger of the right hand (the other hand helps to pull back and "spring" the finger). If they hit the target, the player scores 1 point. The team with the highest score wins.
