The title translates to: "The Six Banners of Selkinchek and Dumpuldak."
Alty bakan selkinchek. One of the most popular entertainments is swinging (selkinchek). In the past, during the nomadic lifestyle, swings were made from nearby trees in mountain pastures, and in treeless areas, poles (bakans) were used to raise the upper part of the yurt frame during its setup. Usually, 6 such poles were taken. Hence the name alty bakan selkinchek — swings made from 6 poles. A girl and a boy swing together. The rest of the youth, divided into two teams (girls and boys), hold unique competitions in singing, posing riddles, performing satirical verses, etc.
In modern rural life, young people have the opportunity to build improved swings in parks, stadiums, and school playgrounds.
Dumpuldeck (club) — one of the ancient games of the Kyrgyz people.
Participants are divided into two teams. One team represents "sheep," while the other represents "wolves." The "sheep" lie face down on the grass. One of them takes the end of a 3-4 meter rope, while the other end is held by the "shepherd."
The "wolves," armed with scarves, hats, etc., attack them, trying to hit one of the lying players. The "shepherd" must protect his flock. Without letting go of the rope, he runs around the "sheep" and tries to touch a "wolf" with his free hand. As soon as one of the "wolves" is tagged, the teams switch roles.
