In 2025, the agro-industrial sector will receive more than 6 billion soms in the form of preferential loans with an interest rate of 6%. This information was announced by the director of the Department of Processing Industry and Organic Agriculture, Mukhtar Chynaliev, in an interview on the radio.

As Chynaliev noted, in 2022, 10 billion soms were allocated for financing the agro-industrial complex, and later an additional 7 billion was added. As a result, the total volume of preferential loans now exceeds 20 billion soms.

“Support for the sector is also provided by international organizations and external institutions, such as the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, the Hungarian and Azerbaijani funds. In particular, more than 10 billion soms have been directed to the Osh region,” he emphasized.

In addition, Chynaliev highlighted the importance of developing refrigeration infrastructure. According to him, there is a severe shortage of specialists in the regions who are capable of working with cold chain equipment.

“To address this issue, funding from the Asian Development Bank in the amount of about 35 million dollars has been attracted,” he added.
