- The volumes of coal and lignite extraction in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 4.5 million tons in 2024, which is 1.7 times higher than the level in 2020, according to information from the National Statistical Committee.

Comparison with 2023 shows a growth of 7%, confirming the ongoing positive trend in the coal industry.

There is also a significant increase in the oil extraction sector. In 2024, the country produced 298.8 thousand tons of crude oil, which is 25.3% more compared to 2020. However, relative to 2023, there is a slight decrease of 1.1%, which may indicate a stabilization of production volumes.

As for natural gas, its extraction in 2024 amounted to 28.2 million cubic meters. This figure is 26% higher than in 2020 and exceeds the extraction volumes of 2023 by 3%.

Thus, from 2020 to 2024, there has been impressive growth in the extraction sector of Kyrgyzstan for key types of hydrocarbon raw materials, highlighting the importance of the mining industry for the national economy.
