The share of products produced by such enterprises increased to 26.2%, which is significantly higher than 17.8% in 2020.
In the structure of the total volume of products produced by small and medium enterprises, there is growth in the following categories:
- flour from grain crops — from 46.6% in 2020 to 62.8% in 2024;
- vegetable oil — from 4.6% to 26%;
- plastic products, such as doors and windows — from 14.5% to 17.4%;
- furniture — from 30.4% to 52.8%.
At the same time, the share of some products is decreasing: the share of plain pasta decreased from 57.6% to 20.3%, and the share of mineral water fell from 26% to 14.5%.
As for the regions, in 2024, the share of small and medium enterprises in industrial production was: 61.7% in Batken region, 60.8% in the city of Osh, 52.4% in Osh region, 48.6% in Bishkek, 45.4% in Naryn region, 30.5% in Jalal-Abad region, 20.4% in Chui region, 7.6% in Talas region, and 7% in Issyk-Kul region.
